Call for Papers

The 5th Norwegian Graduate Student Conference in Linguistics and Philology (NoSLiP 2021) will take online and is hosted by the University of Bergen from 11-12th of March 2021. The conference is open to PhD students who have not completed their degree, as well as advanced MA students.

Because the conference will be held virtually, poster presentations will take the form of a rapid oral presentation format (10-minutes presentation). There is no need to prepare two different formats - you may choose between a short slide presentation or a one-slide poster and present the various parts of it.

You are cordially invited to send your contributions for oral or short presentations by 25. Jan. 2021 (23.59, GMT +1). The theme of this year’s NoSLIP is Language variation, with a focus on Syntax and Morphology. We welcome submissions from all areas of linguistics and philology, including, but not limited to sociolinguistics, semantics, syntax, phonology, rhetoric, and pragmatics. We hope that the conference will reflect the great variety of graduate research within language studies. Oral presentations should not exceed 20 minutes in length, short presentations should not exceed 10 minutes in length.
